Yitzchok Meir Helfgot est un des Hazzanim les plus connus au niveau mondial[1],[2],[3],[4],[5],[6],[7],[8],[9],[10],[11],[12],[13],[14],[15],[16]. Natif de Tel-Aviv, il a une carrière internationale, étant le Hazzan attitré de la Synagogue orthodoxe "Park East Synagogue"[17] de Manhattan, à New York.
Éléments biographiques
Yitzchok Meir Helfgot est né à Tel-Aviv, dans une famille hassidique. Il fait partie des hassidim de Gour. À l'âge de 5 ans, en écoutant un enregistrement de Moshe Koussevitzky, "Akavia Ben Mehalelel, il sent déjà, que plus tard, chanter c'est ce qu'il veut faire. À l'âge de 8 ans, il fait ses premiers enregistrements. Il passe sa jeunesse à étudier l'art du chant et le nussach (l'art de la prière).
Il donne son premier concert à l'âge de 25 ans.
En avril 2020, il est hospitalisé pour le Covid-19 mais s'en remet[18].
